Substrate
This is the sublimation product or blank. This item must have a polymer coating or be made out of 50% or higher polyester.
Heat Tape
Heat resistant tape is used to adhere the transfer to the substrate to prevent ghosting or double imaging during pressing.
Transfer Paper
Sublimation paper that releases the ink onto your substrate.
Repositionable Adhesive Spray
Used to adhere the transfer to the substrate to prevent ghosting or double imaging during pressing. Spray lightly onto the transfer, not the substrate. This is used primarily on fabric substrates.
Butcher Paper
This is also referred to as end roll paper. End roll paper has no dyes or printing on it and absorbs stray ink and moisture from the transfer. Often used when sublimating apparel, it is good for one-time use only and must be thrown away after removing the items from the heat press.
Lint Roller
In the manufacturing process of some soft substrates like apparel and neoprene products, stray fibers (often containing dyes) can be caught in the fabric of the product. To eliminate or reduce the chances of sublimating stray fibers, lint roll the substrate before sublimating.
